More Parisian Adventures

Day 2 in Paris and we head to the famous Avenue des Champs-Elysees, the most expensive, and lovely, boulevard in all of Europe.

An aerial view of the Champs-Elysees

We headed down to the end to the Arc de Triomphe and marveled at all of the crazy traffic. The traffic around the Arc de Triomphe has no rhyme or reason to it. The street is not marked with lanes and nearly 10 diffferent directions exist with vehicles proceeding in all of those different directions.

An aerial view of the crazy traffic.

We climbed the 286 steps to the top to get a stunning panoramic view of the city.

It was windy up there!

After we left the Arc de Triomphe we walked through the city a bit further. At one point before crossing over the Seine river we realized we were standing at the site of Princess Diana's fatal car crash.

We continued our journey throughout the city and got lots of photos. Here are some various pictures out and about in Paris:

The French Parliament building.

The Seine river, the Pont Neuf and the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Enjoying coffee at a little cafe by the Eiffel Tower.

This isn't the best pic but each night at 10 pm the Eiffel Tower sparkles with light. It's magical. We go each night just to watch it.
