Last Day in Florence

Our last day in Florence was a blast! We began with lunch at a little pizzeria that offered, get this, meatball pizza! Of course, Mickey was totally psyched.

We then visited the outdoor markets which was so much fun and we were able to pick up a few things of interest. We aren't really buying things on this trip due to conservation of funds as well as the lack of places to put things when bringing them home. However, I scored the cutest umbrella ever! Random thing to buy in Florence, Italy, huh? Anyhow, it has ruffles along the bottom of it and the color scheme is brown and pink. (One of my favorites!) I've never seen one like it and it was only 7 euro so I consider it a worthy purchase!

We then visited the "Paperback Exchange" which touts itself as an "Anglo American" bookstore meaning that all books sold there are in English.

We picked up a couple of books and headed to Piazza del Michelangelo to enjoy the absolutely gorgeous view and a good book.

After spending some time there we made the trek back to the hostel and began to pack up. We head to Cinque Terre at 8 am tomorrow. I can't wait!

  1. How gorgeous! And the meatball pizza looks great too. I bet Mickey thinks he is in meatball heaven. Well you should be in Cinque Terre by now. Hope we can skype. Let me know when you are in your hotel. Love MOM
