Our second day in Vernazza found us kayaking and sunbathing. Kayaking was amazing due to the beauty of the blue Mediterranean. I don't think I've ever seen such blue water. We also found a cave which was cool to kayak through. 
We spent the rest of the day on the beach and got a little sunburnt. This only makes our backpacks harder to carry ;) We also swam in the ocean a lot which was fun but, at one point, I climbed onto a rock and climbed to the top of it. About the time I reached the top I saw a giant spider crap crawling toward me and began to panic. Of course the rock was filled with slimy moss and at that point I slipped and fell and slid all the way down the rock and out into the ocean. It shot me pretty far! All the while, Mickey is laughing so hard he's almost swallowing sea water. Very funny....ha ha.
We're leaving today for Nice...finally a place to put my French speaking skills to the test! They've never really come in too handy in Shelbyville!
PS...Cinque Terre, Vernazza in particular, is one of, if not the, most beautiful place that I have ever visited. If you are thinking of vacation you should really consider this spot! It's going to be hard for us to leave today.
Girl, that spider could have had that whole darn rock! You thought Jesus walked on water?!! They still would be wondering how I got across and not got wet!!
